Biography:
Mr. Pelgrim joined Wilshire Finance Partners, Inc. as an owner, director and Chief Executive Officer in March 2011.

Don Pelgrim is an attorney and has been a chief-level executive officer in the banking and financial services industry. As an attorney, he practiced real estate and real estate finance law at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison, LLP and Rutan & Tucker, LLP. As a banker, he started his career as a loan officer with Hawthorne Savings, FSB, and was the Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary at Vineyard Bank, NA and Vineyard National Bancorp, as well as Opportunity Bank, NA and Opportunity Bancshares.

He received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, a Bachelors of Business Administration from Hofstra University. He is an active member of the California Bar and has maintained his California Real Estate License since 1986. He has received regulatory “non-disapproval” to serve as a banking executive from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve (FRB), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS). In addition to running banks, Mr. Pelgrim has been engaged in real estate finance, the acquisition and disposition of real estate, real estate investment, loan workouts and the resolution of problem assets. From a broader perspective, his experience also extends to finance, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate governance and regulatory issues affecting public and privately held financial institutions.
